Walk into La Casa de Pedro and you instantly go into vacation mode as live salsa music and palm trees decked out in colorful lights greet you. La Casa de Pedro serves fine Latin cuisine, heavily inspired by traditional Venezuelan dishes. It’s always a fiesta in the sprawling dining room and sizable outdoor dining area which makes this an ideal place for large groups. But is a good for kids? Si!
La Casa de Pedro sits besides a sprawling lawn in front of the Arsenal Center for the Arts. Great for kids looking to burn off some energy while waiting for a table or after dinner.
Live salsa music and dancing by the bar is available on weekends – which can get pretty loud for some kids.
Good. Although lacking some kid-friendly amenities, you will find several families with young kids eating happily during lunch and early dinner service.
Strollers are not allowed in the patio. Fold and park them with the host or leave it in the car.
You will find signs asking that children not run in the patio. Head to the lawn if your kids need to run.
The menu at La Casa de Pedro rivals the Cheesecake Factory in terms of options. Most of the dishes are representative of the traditional Venezuelan dishes owner Pedro Alarcon grew up eating. Pedro is at the restaurant practically every day, greeting customers in the dining room while overseeing execution of the many colorful dishes in the kitchen. Plus festive cocktails such as sangria and mojitos elevate the party atmosphere.
