It takes a pretty special place and talented team to balance chic yet casual with elegant date-night and still be family-friendly. Enter Posto, a Davis Square pizzeria, enoteca and trattoria. You will find great, attentive service at this bustling neighborhood favorite. Add some of the best pizza, sophisticated rustic entrees and great kid options and you get a top family-friendly restaurant in Somerville.

family-friendly restaurant tip Look for Posto’s food truck Posto Mobile for the same wood-fired, neapolitan pizzas (cooked at a blistering 900 degree oven!) on the streets of Boston.

family-friendly restaurant tip This popular family-friendly restaurant is often packed on most nights. We recommend making a reservation or arrive before 6pm to snag a table.

family-friendly restaurant tip Dining with a large party and a gaggle of kids? Request a table in the “Galleria” – a semi-private dining space toward the back of the restaurant.

Fantastic! Kids are greeted warmly at this posto_kidsmenufamily-friendly restaurant in Somerville. Kids are asked if they would like to color and parents are asked if they would prefer a kid’s menu for the tots. The open dining area can easily accommodate a stroller (though we suggest folding and storing). Attentive waitstaff quickly brings kids cups with lids and will happily put in any kids’ orders first.

family-friendly restaurant tip The dining room can be a little noisier for some (but a plus for parents with chatty children).

Main Menu:
Posto’s Italian menu features a simple and honest dishes while highlighting seasonal ingredients from local producers. You can expect handmade pastas, classic Italian Antipasta, and of course their signature Neapolitan-style pizzas. One of the few VPN pizzerias in Boston (Verace Pizza Napoletana or “true Neapolitan pizza”), Posto’s wood-fired, personal-size pizzas is what they do best.
