family friendly square cafe hinghamOverview:

Always buzzing with people, family-friendly Square Cafe in Downtown Hingham somehow manages to make a cozy, friendly vibe coexist with white table cloths (but only at dinner). The comfortable yet upscale dining room is welcoming, with banquettes lining the walls without obstructing the windows overlooking the street out front. The staff plays a big part in the friendly vibe and the food is some of the better to be found on Boston’s South Shore. This Hingham hot spot is busy every day of the week, but is especially lively on the weekends, so be sure to call ahead or make a reservation.

family-friendly restaurant tip Dining with kids who like to see where their food is prepared? You can grab a peek into the semi-open kitchen from most tables in the dining room.

KidTude:

Really great. While the tablecloths are indeed white at dinner time, the entire restaurant is used to welcoming kids at this family-friendly Hingham restaurant. Servers will offer up crayons and paper, kids’ cups with lids and straws, and proactively let you know what off-menu items are available for the kiddos.

family-friendly restaurant tipThere are no changing tables at Square Cafe, but both the men’s and women’s bathrooms are singles and have small tables that can serve for diaper changes in a pinch–just be sure to bring along a changing pad.

family-friendly restaurant tip Have a stroller? Space in here is limited, so your best bet is to either leave it in the car, or ask the host to store it for you.
